Saved My Bacon Today

So I picked up this Thor body armor several months back and have been wearing it every time I ride - almost always off-road in the local mountains. Today, this thing flat-out saved me. Took a nasty little tumble on a steep, rocky incline and pitched head-first onto the rocks. Landed on my right side - totally shredded my riding jersey from upper arm to mid-forearm. My riding buddy is a doc, and when stopped he asked how badly my arm was broken. Funny thing was, I didn't even feel the impact (other than on my right knee - I'll be picking up a set of Thor knee protectors soon). The hard plastics were fine - no cracks. Thor just earned a loyal customer.

Strong performance in hot weather

Purchased the mesh armor item from AZ Superbike for use in hot weather. With a soaked cool-vest worn underneath, this works well for hot weather riding. Was relatively comfortable today in 108 degrees (AZ) at highway speeds. Very adjustable and relatively quick on/off. Armor seems better than many of summer mesh jackets on the market.
