Good fit wih retractable shield

I was in the market for a half helmet with a drop down (and not a snap-on) sun shield and the Bell Pit Boss was the answer. The retractable shield is easy to flip up and down; I use the dark smoke color with non-tinted prescription glasses so that I can flip the shield up as needed (e.g. in tunnels) and still be behind the protection of my bike's windshield and my glasses. The helmet is comfortable and when I put it on it really does feel like I am pulling it down over my head, rather than setting it on top of it. The Speed Dial Adjustable Fit System is a bonus. I didn't think that I would be a fan but I like how it results in what is essentially a custom fit. After making sure the dial is in the loose position, I put the helmet on and with one hand reach around the back to dial it snug. It takes just a few seconds and results in a snug, comfortable fitting helmet that doesn't lift up at speed. I have a big melon head (I'm wearing the XL) but this helmet fortunately doesn 't make it look too much bigger. The helmet weight is good; I wouldn't call it light but it's not heavy either and feels good on my head. On the down side, it is not made in the U.S.A.

Helmet almost feels like it has suction to your head! BEST helmets ever owned & looks awesome!

This bad azz helmet feels as if it has suction to your head!Reason why is the amazing feature in the rear of the helmets head frame, letting you to cynch it down good & tight very easily on your head every time if you wanted too. Kinda like how hard-hat frames that has the toggle/rachet to adjust to your head; making it perfect fit & it does not ride high off your skull either!!!

Also love the built in sunglasses! The look reminds me of fighter piolot helmets in a way... damn cool! If you wear prescriptions it a real plus, or during super bright sunrise or sets you can double up having it easier on the eyes.

The straps are in the perfect place and helmet wont get rejected off your head should an accident happen like my second to last helmet did, and I had it strapped down good. The comfortable cushioned ear pads, let you ears breath, keep them warm & helps protect your hearing & they are are removable if you want too.

I tried on the var ious Pitt Boss Helmets, and it seemed that the Checkered helmet sat down lower at the crown of your head; it wasn't sitting as high as as the other Pitt Boss is what I mean, or maybe that was the checkered patteren giving the optical illusion.

Totally embrass this helmet, and know you'ld love it. For such quality, the price is a great deal!!! And they have a 1 year warrenty

Never thought I would ever do a helmet review, because with my expierance, helmets always caused me serious neck pain because they catch the wind & kinda rattles your head around in the breeze making you feel more like a dang "Bobble Head" than anything.

Well, No more is my attention being adverted because of my previous 1/2 helmet slipping backwards cause helmet gets loose after so long of wearing it, plus adding pressure & pain to the neck; basically keeping my full attention to where it belonged... on the road 110%.

Perfect fit for a large head.

I checked the sizing chart on the Bell website toverify the size. It fit perfectly and the adjustment wheel works great! First time buying a helet over the internet and I am very pleased with the results. Would suggest that a sizing chart from the Bell website be included on the page for this item.
